Initially sceptical about learning such a detailed art form online, Akshaya took her first step into Tanjore painting through a live online course at Tanjore Collective.
Akshaya N’s introduction to Tanjore painting began unexpectedly—with a random post on Instagram. What started as a moment of curiosity soon turned into a strong desire to be part of the learning experience at Tanjore Collective.
“I came across Tanjore Collective as a random post in Instagram and there was a sudden spark to be a part of the class.”
That spark led Akshaya to enroll in the Gajalakshmi online course, marking her very first attempt at Tanjore painting.
Taking the First Step into Online Learning
Like many beginners, Akshaya initially felt unsure about learning such a detailed and traditional art form online.
“Initially I was quite sceptical as to how the online classes would be, as this art form is quite detailed and needs a lot of focus and attention.”
Being her first attempt, she also carried a sense of self-doubt about how the final artwork would turn out. However, the structured nature of the live online classes quickly eased these concerns.
Learning a Detailed Art Form with Clarity
The live Zoom sessions, supported by recorded classes, helped Akshaya follow each step clearly. Vibha’s teaching, along with support from the team, ensured that every stage was explained patiently and thoroughly.
“This was my first attempt, and I was a little under confident as well, as to how it would turn out to be.”
