Frequently Asked Questions
What types of Tanjore painting classes do you offer?
We offer live online classes on Zoom, in-person studio classes in Basavanagudi, Bangalore, and self-paced DIY video courses — so you can learn whichever way suits you best.
I am a complete beginner. Which class should I take?
Any of them — all our classes start from scratch. If you want live guidance, choose an online or studio class; if you prefer to learn at your own pace, choose a DIY video course. Our gurus have 35+ years of experience teaching beginners.
Are the materials included?
Each class comes with an Essentials Materials Kit — canvas, 24-karat gold sheets, Arabic gum, brushes, Kundan stones, and Swarovski crystals. For online and DIY courses it is shipped to your door; for studio classes it is provided at the studio.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes — you receive a Tanjore Collective certificate on completing any of our courses.
Will I be able to paint on my own afterwards?
Yes. Every course takes you through the full process from canvas preparation to finishing, so you can create Tanjore paintings independently afterwards.
Will I have access to a teacher?
Yes. Online and studio classes are taught live by our gurus; DIY students can reach our teachers via WhatsApp and phone for any questions.
What is your refund policy?
Please see our Refund Policy page for details, or reach out to our team — we will always do our best to help.
