Course Terms & Conditions

These Course Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the courses, video content, sketches, reference materials, and learning resources (collectively, the “Course Content”) provided by Tanjore Collective (“we”, “us”, “our”). By enrolling in or accessing any course, you agree to be bound by these Terms in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Intellectual Property & Copyright

All Course Content — including but not limited to instructional videos, audio recordings, sketches, reference images, PDFs, written materials, guides, templates, and any derivative works — is the sole intellectual property of Tanjore Collective and is protected by Indian and international copyright laws.

Your enrollment grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the Course Content strictly for your personal, non-commercial learning. You do not acquire any ownership rights in the Course Content.

2. Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to do any of the following with the Course Content:

  • Sharing or redistributing course videos, sketches, or materials with any other person — whether free of charge or for payment — including uploading to social media, cloud drives, messaging apps, or any public or private platform.
  • Downloading, screen recording, copying, or capturing the video content through any means, including third-party software, browser extensions, or external devices.
  • Re-selling, licensing, or sub-licensing the Course Content in any form.
  • Using the sketches, reference images, or techniques for commercial purposes — including but not limited to selling paintings created using our sketches, teaching courses based on our content, producing merchandise, or any for-profit activity.
  • Sharing login credentials with any other person. Your account is strictly for your personal use only.
  • Attempting to bypass any security measures, DRM protections, or access controls implemented by us or our video hosting providers.

3. Account Access & Device Limits

Each enrollment is tied to a single account and may be accessed from up to two (2) devices. We reserve the right to monitor account activity and detect unauthorized sharing. If we detect that your account is being used on more than two devices or that credentials have been shared, we may suspend or terminate your access without refund.

4. Watermarking & Tracking

To protect our content and identify sources of piracy, we display dynamic watermarks on video playback that include your email address or other identifying information. Any unauthorized recording or sharing of our content can be traced back to the originating account, and legal action may be pursued.

5. Access Duration

Your access to each course is valid for the duration specified at the time of enrollment (e.g., 90 days from the date of enrollment for DIY courses, or the specified end date for live courses). Once this period expires, access to the course materials will be revoked. We do not offer extensions except in exceptional circumstances at our sole discretion.

6. Personal Artwork & Your Creations

The original artwork you create based on your learning from our courses belongs to you for personal use and enjoyment. However, you may not sell these artworks commercially, exhibit them in a way that represents them as your original designs (without acknowledging Tanjore Collective as your teacher), or use them as teaching material to instruct others.

7. Consequences of Breach

Violation of any of these Terms may result in any or all of the following, at our sole discretion:

  • Immediate suspension or termination of your account and enrollment, without refund.
  • Being barred from enrolling in any future courses.
  • Civil legal action for copyright infringement, including claims for damages, injunctive relief, and recovery of legal costs.
  • Criminal complaint under applicable copyright laws where appropriate.

8. No Warranties

While we strive to provide high-quality instruction, the Course Content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will achieve any specific skill level, artistic outcome, or commercial success as a result of taking our courses.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The revised Terms will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Course Content after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
