Here's How Ritu Learned Three Advanced Tanjore Paintings Online.

For Ritu Sajiv, it all began with a single decision to join our Live Online Lord Balaji Course. What she thought would be one learning experience soon turned into a journey through three advanced Tanjore paintings—Lord Balaji, Shiva Parivar, and Lakshmi Narasimha.

From One Balaji Painting to Three Masterpieces: Why Ritu Kept Coming Back
When someone completes one Tanjore painting, it's a wonderful achievement.
When they return for a second and then a third it tells a different story.
For Ritu Sajiv, it all began with a single decision to join our Live Online Lord Balaji Course. What she thought would be one learning experience soon turned into a journey through three advanced Tanjore paintings—Lord Balaji, Shiva Parivar, and Lakshmi Narasimha.
Each painting demanded weeks of dedicated learning, intricate craftsmanship, and the patience to master new techniques. Yet what kept Ritu coming back wasn't simply the opportunity to paint another deity.
It was the experience of learning itself.
The Painting That Started It All
Ritu's first course with Tanjore Collective was Lord Balaji.
For many students, Balaji is much more than a painting. It's a deeply devotional artwork that requires careful embossing, intricate stone work, delicate brushwork, and attention to every detail. While the finished piece is beautiful, the journey of creating it is equally rewarding.
Like many students considering an online course, Ritu had questions.
Would the classes be easy to follow?
Would she receive enough guidance?
Could such a traditional art form really be taught online?
Those questions quickly faded as the course progressed.
Every lesson was taught step by step, making even the most intricate techniques feel approachable.
Looking back, Ritu shared:
"Vibha helped me understand the Tanjore painting process step by step..."
That patient guidance laid the foundation not only for her first painting, but for everything that followed.
Support That Continued Beyond the Classroom
Learning Tanjore painting doesn't always end when the live class does.
Sometimes students need help refining a detail, finishing a section, or simply gaining the confidence to complete their artwork.
For Ritu, knowing that support continued even after the course made all the difference.
As she says,
"...and was there to help me complete it even after the course."
That kind of support transforms an online class into something much more personal.
It reassures students that they are never expected to figure everything out on their own.
That's Why She Came Back
After completing her Lord Balaji painting, Ritu could have stopped there.
Instead, she chose to take on an even bigger artistic challenge.
Her next project was Shiva Parivar, one of our advanced 15" × 20" live online courses. Featuring multiple deities, intricate ornamentation, and detailed composition, it requires a high level of patience, precision, and consistency throughout the painting process.
By this point, Ritu already trusted the learning experience.
She knew the classes would be structured, the guidance would be clear, and help would always be available whenever she needed it.
After successfully completing Shiva Parivar, she challenged herself once again by enrolling in Lakshmi Narasimha, another advanced 15" × 20" Tanjore painting course.
With every new painting came fresh techniques, finer artistic details, and opportunities to build on the skills she had already developed.
Rather than feeling like three separate courses, the journey felt like one continuous path of learning and growth.
An Online Experience That Changed Her Expectations
Many people assume that learning online means learning alone.
Ritu's experience was exactly the opposite.
From live Zoom sessions and thoughtfully prepared material kits to recorded classes and continued instructor support, every part of the learning experience was designed to make students feel confident from beginning to end.
Reflecting on her journey, she shared:
"I could never imagine an online course being planned and executed so beautifully!!! Kudos to the entire Tanjore Collective team and I look forward to many more enjoyable experiences..."
For us, that's exactly what an online classroom should feel like—not distant, but personal.
Three Advanced Paintings. One Memorable Journey.
Today, Ritu has completed three beautiful and intricate Tanjore paintings with Tanjore Collective.
Lord Balaji will always hold a special place in her heart as the painting that introduced her to this journey.
Shiva Parivar challenged her with a more detailed composition and helped deepen her understanding of the art form.
Lakshmi Narasimha became another milestone, allowing her to refine her skills through yet another advanced project.
Looking back, one sentence from her review says it all:
"Balaji painting will be the closest to my heart and will always be grateful for being able to learn from such an amazing teacher"
For us, Ritu's journey is about much more than completing three paintings.
It's about discovering that meaningful learning isn't limited by distance. With the right guidance, thoughtful course design, and continued support, an online classroom can become a place where students don't just complete beautiful artworks—they return again and again because they genuinely enjoy the experience.
We're grateful to have been a part of Ritu's artistic journey and can't wait to see what she creates next.
