How One DIY Tanjore Course Led Usha to Complete Four Paintings

Think Tanjore painting is too difficult to learn from home? Usha thought so too. Starting with a DIY Lord Ganesha course, she gradually built her skills and confidence, eventually completing four Tanjore paintings and continuing her artistic journey.
When Usha V. first discovered Tanjore Collective, she was captivated by something very simple.
"What attracted me to Tanjore Collective is that all their paintings have such divine and beautiful smiling faces. Each painting is so intricate and vibrant."
Like many aspiring artists, she admired the beauty of Tanjore paintings but wasn't sure where to begin. The intricate work, rich colours, and traditional techniques can feel overwhelming when you're just starting out.
Instead of jumping into a large project, Usha chose a path that allowed her to learn comfortably from home—our DIY Tanjore Painting Courses.

Beginning with Lord Ganesha
Usha's first step into the world of Tanjore painting was our Lord Ganesha DIY Video Course.

Building Confidence with Goddess Lakshmi
After successfully completing her Lord Ganesha painting, Usha decided to continue her learning journey with our Goddess Lakshmi DIY Video Course.
By this point, she had already experienced the joy of creating a traditional Tanjore painting with her own hands. The Lakshmi painting allowed her to strengthen the skills she had learned while exploring new techniques and details.
Each completed artwork reinforced her confidence as an artist.

Soon, she enrolled in our Lord Balaji Online Course, followed by our Radha Krishna Online Course.
What started as a curiosity became a serious artistic pursuit.
This progression perfectly demonstrates what happens when students are given the right guidance, support, and learning structure. One completed painting leads to another, confidence grows, and before they know it, they're creating artworks they once thought were beyond their abilities.
Beyond the Classroom: Creating a Painting on Her Own
One of the most rewarding milestones in Usha's journey came after completing multiple courses with us. Confident in the skills she had developed, she went on to create a beautiful Tanjore painting entirely on her own as a gift for a friend.
