- Tuesday and Thursday | 6:00 PM - 7.30 PM
- Live Online Course - Vibha Raj will teach the course live on Zoom. Spurthy GB and Yashaswini J will support as assistant teachers.
- A video recording will be shared after the live class, the recordings will be available for 30 days after course end date.

We will guide you step by step, through the whole process of creating this beautiful, traditional art form.
Live Video Classes
All our classes will be conducted on Zoom. Every class will be recorded and shared with the students in case you miss any session.
Class Setup
We use 3 cameras, 2 monitors to moderate the class. This helps magnify the details and ensure utmost clarity. Some say, it's better than a live session!

Course Brief
Course Brief
We will begin our session with an introduction and history of Tanjore Paintings.
Our sessions are conducted in a way that you get enough practice and are confident to do it on the canvas.
What You'll Learn
We guide you by teaching you how to prepare the canvas and put the sketch onto canvas.
This is followed by preparation of the gum, jesso and its application.
You'll learn how to get the perfect finish and add intricate details for jesso and how to stick the gold onto it.
Then we will move onto painting techniques. We will go through each and everystroke required.
We'll teach you face painting towards the end, as by this time, you'll have great experience with the brush!

I enrolled for online ganesha tanjore painting course with vibha. This is my first attempt at any form of painting so I was naturally doubtful if I could do this, but the way Vibha taught the process step by step without even realising i was able to see the Tanjore painting come to life by following the steps. I don't think there's anyone else who can teach this in such an easy to follow way... I have gained confidence and i want to do more and more paintings in future. I took up the Gaja lakshmi course online. Initially I was quite sceptical as to how the online classes would be , as this art form is quite detailed and needs a lot of focus and attention. This was my first attempt, and I was a little under confident as well, as to how it would turn out to be. But at Tanjore Collective, Viba and team have it made it possible for everyone out there to easily learn and master the art form.
