Nivetha KM joined the Dhana Lakshmi – 4 Weeks Live Online Course at a time when she was navigating early motherhood. When she enrolled, her baby was just three months old, and she describes herself as being in a mixed state of mind.
She had first reached out to Vibha during her pregnancy but couldn’t join then. When the opportunity came again after delivery, she enrolled without hesitation.
Joining the Course as a New Mother
Nivetha joined the online Lakshmi workshop while adjusting to the postpartum phase. Managing a newborn alongside personal recovery was not easy, but the structured painting sessions gave her something steady to look forward to.
“I joined the Lakshmi workshop when my baby was three months old. I was in a mixed state of mind, but without a second thought, I joined the class.”
The live online format allowed her to attend classes from home, making it possible to learn while caring for her baby.
Learning Tanjore Painting Step by Step
The Dhana Lakshmi course was conducted over four weeks, with three sessions per week. Each class focused on a specific stage of the Tanjore painting process, from base preparation to detailing and finishing.
“The painting really helped me stay calm and happy.”
The repetitive, focused nature of the work helped her slow down and stay present, which made a noticeable difference to her mental well-being.
A Calming and Supportive Learning Experience
Beyond learning technique, the class became a source of emotional support for Nivetha during her postpartum phase.
“This class was one of the main reasons I was able to handle the postpartum phase more easily.”
Vibha’s teaching approach played a key role in this experience.
“She is such a wonderful teacher and a sweetheart. The output was so good only because of her guidance.”
The combination of clear instruction, encouragement, and consistent structure helped Nivetha stay engaged and confident throughout the course.
Seeing the Finished Painting
Completing the Dhana Lakshmi painting was a meaningful moment for Nivetha.
“I was stunned to see the output.”
For a first-time learner, completing a traditional Tanjore painting gave her a sense of achievement and confidence, both creatively and personally.
Continuing Her Painting Journey
After completing the Lakshmi workshop, Nivetha realised how much she missed painting and decided to continue learning.
“I missed painting so much that I joined the Ganesha workshop again. It was very relaxing for me.”
Painting had become something she wanted to continue as part of her routine, even beyond structured courses.
Bringing the Artwork Home
One of the most fulfilling outcomes for Nivetha was being able to use her paintings in her personal space.
“I’m very happy that I was able to decorate the pooja room of my new home with these paintings.”
Her journey shows how learning Tanjore painting can go beyond skill development and become a grounding, calming practice—especially during important life transitions.
